How to Store and Care for Acuvue Oasys 24 Pack Bi-Weekly Contact Lenses
Proper care of bi-weekly contact lenses is essential for eye health, lens performance, and comfort across the full two-week wear cycle. Here is a complete guide to caring for your Acuvue Oasys 24 Pack lenses.
Daily Care Routine
- 1. Wash and thoroughly dry hands with mild, fragrance-free soap before handling lenses
- 2. Place each lens in the palm of your hand and apply a few drops of multi-purpose solution
- 3. Gently rub the lens in a circular motion for 20 seconds — even with a 'no-rub' solution, light rubbing removes more deposits
- 4. Rinse each lens thoroughly with fresh multi-purpose solution
- 5. Place lenses in a clean case and fill each well with fresh solution — never reuse or top up old solution
- 6. Close the case and leave lenses to soak for at least 6 hours before reinsertion
Choosing a Solution
Acuvue Oasys lenses are compatible with standard multi-purpose solutions designed for soft silicone hydrogel lenses. Your eye care professional will recommend a specific solution. Hydrogen peroxide-based systems provide a higher level of disinfection and are often recommended for wearers with sensitive eyes — however, they require a full neutralization time of at least 6 hours before the lens can be safely inserted. Never use tap water to rinse or store lenses.
Lens Case Hygiene
- • After inserting lenses each morning, empty the case, rinse with fresh solution (not water), and leave open to air dry
- • Replace your lens case every three months regardless of appearance
- • Replace lenses before the 2-week mark if damaged, scratched, or if sudden discomfort, redness, or blurred vision occurs
Always follow your eye care professional's specific guidance on solution choice and care routine.
