How Long Does It Take to Receive Biofinity Toric XR and Why Is There a Lead Time?

Biofinity Toric XR lenses have a significantly longer lead time than standard contact lenses — because they are custom manufactured to order rather than held in stock.

Why Custom Manufacturing Is Required

Standard contact lenses are manufactured in high volumes for the most common prescriptions and held in inventory. Biofinity Toric XR covers a wide range of high cylinder prescriptions (up to -5.75D) and high sphere powers (up to +6.00D/-10.00D). The number of possible prescription combinations in this extended range is significantly larger, and demand for any specific high-prescription combination is far lower — making inventory stocking impractical. Instead, each order triggers custom manufacturing at CooperVision to the individual wearer's exact prescription parameters.

Typical Lead Time: 5–7 Weeks

From order confirmation and prescription verification, the typical manufacturing and delivery lead time is 5 to 7 weeks, covering order placement and verification, manufacturing at CooperVision's production facility, quality control and packaging, and shipping and delivery.

How to Plan Your Orders

  • • Order your next batch at least 6 weeks before your current supply runs out
  • • Consider ordering two boxes at once to reduce the frequency of lead-time delays
  • • Keep a note of your reorder date — monthly disposables allow you to calculate exactly when you will need to reorder

WebEyeCare will provide an estimated delivery date at order confirmation and will update you if manufacturing schedules change.
