Product Description

Overview

Biofinity contact lenses from CooperVision are monthly disposable lenses built on Aquaform® Technology — a proprietary innovation that chemically binds water molecules directly into the Comfilcon A silicone hydrogel material without surface coatings.

With a Dk/t of 171 and 48% water content, Biofinity is one of CooperVision's most established monthly lens options for myopia and hyperopia. Biofinity is net plastic neutral through CooperVision's partnership with Plastic Bank.

These lenses do not include UV protection.

Key Features

  • Aquaform® Technology: Chemically binds water molecules directly into the Comfilcon A material, maintaining consistent hydration, natural wettability, and high oxygen permeability throughout the monthly wear period without surface coatings or added wetting agents.
  • Comfilcon A Silicone Hydrogel Material: Made from Comfilcon A with 48% water content and a Dk/t of 171 — one of the highest oxygen transmissibility values in monthly contact lenses. The soft, hydrophilic material absorbs water, creating a flexible and comfortable lens.
  • Monthly Replacement Schedule: Each lens is designed for up to 30 days of daily wear with nightly removal, cleaning, and storage.
  • Extended Wear Capability: Approved for up to 6 nights / 7 days of continuous wear. Suitability varies by individual — consult your eye care professional before overnight use.
  • No UV Protection: Biofinity lenses do not include UV blocking. UV-protective sunglasses should be worn outdoors.

Replacement & Wear

Biofinity lenses are designed for a monthly replacement schedule. Each lens can be worn daily for up to 30 days with proper cleaning and storage.

These lenses are also approved for extended wear of up to 6 nights / 7 days, although this should only be done under the guidance of your eye care professional.

FAQ

Biofinity Contact Lenses FAQ

What are Biofinity contact lenses made of?

Biofinity contact lenses are made from Comfilcon A, a silicone hydrogel material with 48% water content and a high oxygen transmissibility (Dk/t) of 171. This material allows for strong breathability while maintaining a soft, flexible lens structure.

What is Aquaform® Technology in Biofinity lenses?

Aquaform® Technology chemically binds water molecules directly into the lens material, maintaining natural wettability and hydration throughout the wear period without surface coatings or added wetting agents.

How long can you wear Biofinity contact lenses?

Biofinity lenses are designed for monthly replacement — up to 30 days of daily wear with nightly removal, cleaning, and storage. They are also approved for extended wear of up to 6 nights and 7 days, but this should only be done under the guidance of your eye care professional.

Are Biofinity lenses daily or monthly?

Biofinity lenses are monthly disposable contact lenses. Each lens can be worn for up to 30 days with proper care and cleaning.

Can you sleep in Biofinity contact lenses?

Biofinity lenses are approved for extended wear of up to 6 nights and 7 days. However, sleeping in contact lenses increases the risk of eye complications, so extended wear should only be done with approval from your eye care professional.

Do Biofinity contact lenses have UV protection?

No. Biofinity contact lenses do not include UV protection. You should wear UV-blocking sunglasses for full protection when outdoors.

What is the oxygen transmissibility (Dk/t) of Biofinity lenses?

Biofinity lenses have a Dk/t of 171, which is one of the highest oxygen transmissibility values among monthly contact lenses. This helps support eye health and long wear comfort.

How many lenses come in a Biofinity box?

Each box contains 6 lenses, providing a 6-month supply for one eye when following the monthly replacement schedule.

Do I need a prescription to buy Biofinity contact lenses?

Yes. A valid contact lens prescription from a licensed eye care professional is required. Contact lenses are medical devices and must be properly fitted to your eyes.
